Greater Glasgow | £42,200 - £47,510 + Excellent Benefits | 12-Month FTC (Mat Cover)

Recruitment is at the heart of this role. But it's far from all of it.

Syme Drummond is delighted to be exclusively supporting a highly respected Scottish employer with the appointment of a Recruitment & HR Advisor to join their collaborative People team on a 12-month fixed-term contract.

If you enjoy building excellent relationships with hiring managers and delivering an outstanding recruitment experience, whilst also having the opportunity to use your HR experience, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a business where people genuinely matter.

About the Organisation

Our customer is a long-established, family-owned Scottish business with a global presence and an outstanding reputation within its sector.

With colleagues around the world, the business has built its reputation on exceptional products, investing in its people, encouraging collaboration, and creating an environment where individuals can develop and thrive.

The Opportunity

Joining an experienced and supportive HR team, this role offers the opportunity to take ownership of recruitment across the Central Services functions whilst also broadening your HR experience.

Recruitment will form the core of your remit, making up around 75% of the role. You'll support hiring managers, proactively source applicants, manage recruitment from briefing through to offer and deliver an excellent applicant experience throughout.

Alongside recruitment, you'll also get involved in a range of operational HR activities, supporting employee lifecycle administration, HR projects and wider People initiatives. It's an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys recruitment but doesn't want to lose the HR side of their role.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Managing end-to-end recruitment across the Central Services functions.
  • Building strong relationships with hiring managers and acting as their recruitment partner throughout the hiring process.
  • Proactively sourcing applicants using LinkedIn Recruiter and other direct attraction methods.
  • Managing interviews, recruitment administration, ATS activity and reporting.
  • Delivering an excellent applicant experience from first conversation through to offer.
  • Supporting day-to-day HR activity, employee lifecycle administration and wider HR projects.
  • Working collaboratively with the wider HR team to support business priorities as they evolve.

About You

You'll already have experience within an internal recruitment, HR Advisor or blended Recruitment & HR role and enjoy working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. You'll also bring:

  • Strong end-to-end recruitment experience.
  • Experience sourcing applicants directly using LinkedIn Recruiter or similar platforms.
  • Generalist HR knowledge across the employee lifecycle.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive, flexible approach and a genuine passion for delivering a great applicant experience.

Why Join?

This is an opportunity to join a business where people genuinely matter. You'll become part of an experienced and collaborative HR team who work closely together, support one another and are passionate about delivering an exceptional service across the business.

Whether your background is primarily recruitment with exposure to HR, or HR with strong recruitment experience, this role offers the opportunity to broaden your experience whilst working for one of Scotland's most respected employers.
