Ready to build on your HR and payroll skills?

We’re delighted to be partnering with one of our favourite customers, AG Barr, the iconic Scottish brand behind IRN-BRU, to hire their next People Coordinator. Apply your hands-on HR admin and payroll input experience at the heart of a busy, supportive People function

What you’ll get involved in

  • Preparing payroll inputs in Excel, submitting to the provider and checking outputs match what was requested.
  • Being the first point of contact for employees and managers on HR matters, resolving straightforward queries and escalating where appropriate.
  • HR administration across the employee lifecycle: contracts and letters, right to work and pre-employment checks, HRIS updates, onboarding and offboarding tasks, and tidy record-keeping.
  • Running routine and ad hoc reports, keeping data consistent across systems and following GDPR and confidentiality standards.
  • Working to cut-offs and SLAs, keeping trackers up to date and communicating clearly with stakeholders.
  • Pitching in with the wider team, sharing knowledge and suggesting small process improvements as you learn the ropes.

Why this role

  • Hybrid pattern with Tuesday and Wednesday as anchor office days,
  • Supportive team who will help you upskill and build confidence.
  • Real variety across HR admin and payroll prep, without calculating payroll yourself.
  • A well-known UK brand with a collaborative, pragmatic culture.

What you’ll bring

  • Some exposure to both HR administration and payroll input or preparation.
  • Comfortable with Excel. Vlookups and pivots are a nice-to-have, and training is available.
  • Previous admin experience in a UK setting. UK payroll context is important.
  • Around 1 to 2 years of relevant experience, with strong attention to detail and a verification mindset.
