Are you an experienced HR professional who thrives in fast-paced, people-focused environments?

This is a brilliant opportunity to join a well-established and growing construction business, working as part of a supportive, trusted People Team that genuinely partners with its managers and employees.

You’ll take the lead on employee relations across multiple regions, coaching and supporting managers to handle people matters confidently and fairly.

This is a true hybrid role, with no fixed office days - the focus is on trust, autonomy and outcomes. You’ll typically work between home and sites across the Central Belt, using Teams where possible and travelling when it adds real value.

What you’ll be doing

  • Managing a varied ER caseload (disciplinary, grievance, absence, performance) end-to-end.
  • Coaching and supporting managers through investigations, hearings and performance management.
  • Advising on employment law and policy to ensure fair and consistent practice.
  • Building strong relationships across sales, construction and support teams.
  • Supporting change projects.
  • Delivering engaging line manager training to upskill and build capability.
  • Promoting a positive, people-first culture built on trust and respect.

What we’re looking for

  • CIPD Level 5 qualified (or working towards) as a minimum.
  • Proven experience managing complex ER cases independently, end-to-end.
  • Confident coaching and influencing managers at all levels.
  • Practical understanding of employment law and best practice.
  • Excellent communicator with a personable, down-to-earth style.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach and genuine passion for supporting people.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a car (travel across Scotland required).

Why join?

This organisation offers genuine flexibility, trust and balance - you’ll be empowered to manage your diary and workload your way. You’ll join a collaborative, down-to-earth People Team that’s respected by the business, not hidden behind policy.

With a supportive manager who values autonomy and invests in development, this role offers a brilliant platform to grow in time.

If you’re an experienced People Advisor who thrives on building relationships and takes pride in doing HR the right way, this is one you’ll want to explore.
