Reward & Payroll Specialist

3-Month FTC | Hybrid

Are you an experienced payroll professional with exposure to reward and benefits?

Or perhaps you work within Reward but bring strong hands-on payroll knowledge?

We are supporting a well-established organisation with an immediate requirement for a Reward & Payroll Specialist to provide short-term cover within its People team.

This is a hands-on role combining technical payroll support with reward and flexible benefits activity.

You’ll need to be self-sufficient, comfortable working with detailed data and able to hit the ground running.

What You’ll Do

  • Act as the technical point of escalation for complex payroll queries, supporting the People Co-ordinators and working closely with an outsourced payroll provider.
  • Validate payroll outputs, investigate discrepancies and help strengthen existing reconciliation processes and controls.
  • Support flexible benefits activity, benefits enrolment, reward reporting and wider reward projects.
  • Assist with P11Ds, National Minimum Wage checks, company car submissions and preparations for PBIK changes.
  • Contribute to employee share plan activity, the digitisation of Long-Term Incentive Plan administration and ongoing process improvements.

What We Need

  • Strong practical knowledge of UK payroll, including complex calculations, reconciliations and query resolution.
  • Experience working with an outsourced payroll provider or within a managed payroll service.
  • Previous exposure to reward, employee benefits or flexible benefits would be advantageous.
  • Confidence working with detailed data using Excel or Google Sheets, including VLOOKUPs and pivot tables.
  • A positive and self-sufficient approach, with the confidence to question or challenge when something does not look right.
  • Immediate or short-notice availability and the ability to commit to the full three-month contract.

Why Consider This Opportunity?

  • Join a friendly and collaborative People team where your technical knowledge will be valued.
  • Work across a varied remit combining payroll, reward and employee benefits.
  • Hybrid working, with a combination of onsite and home working.
  • The opportunity to make an immediate impact within a well-established organisation.
