Syme Drummond is proud to be partnering with a high-profile, sustainably focused organisation in the FMCG sector to recruit a part-time HR Advisor. This is a unique opportunity to join a well-known, iconic brand that is growing rapidly and evolving its structure, while staying true to its values of quality, innovation, and fun.

This is a hands-on, varied generalist role where your voice will be heard and your expertise truly valued. You’ll work closely with managers across all levels of the business, providing confident, expert guidance on a wide range of employee relations matters. From supporting organisational change and shaping job structures to refining pay grading and policy, you’ll play a key role in driving HR best practice.
You’ll be joining an agile, collaborative HR team—but must also be comfortable working independently and owning your workload as you will be the only HR presence at this specific site. This role offers true flexibility, working 3 days per week, and is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, challenge, and making a real difference.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build strong, trusted partnerships with managers to support HR delivery across the business
  • Lead on employee relations matters including absence, performance, disciplinary, and grievance cases
  • Support organisational design initiatives, including job structuring and pay grading reviews
  • Advise on and help implement effective change initiatives in a growing, agile environment
  • Contribute to the review and improvement of HR policies and practices
  • Support the creation and delivery of tailored development plans aligned with the People Plan
  • Actively contribute to team culture—where collaboration, professionalism, and fun are all part of the everyday
About You
  • A strong and confident HR generalist with broad experience across ER, policy, and change
  • Experienced in a fast-paced, hands-on environment—manufacturing or FMCG experience is a real plus
  • Able to work both independently and as part of a small, collaborative team
  • Strong communicator with the ability to influence and build credibility at all levels
  • Proactive, pragmatic, and values-driven—with a good sense of humour and a positive approach

This is more than just a part-time role—it’s your chance to shape the future of a growing, iconic brand while having a bit of fun along the way.
