Initial 1-month FTC with potential for extension
Immediate or very short notice is essential
We are delighted to be supporting a well-established organisation with the search for an experienced HR Team Lead to join the business during an important period for the People team.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys leading from the front, bringing structure to busy environments and supporting a team through change. You'll step into an established HR function, providing day-to-day leadership, direction and stability whilst ensuring operational priorities continue to move forward.
This role would suit someone who is equally comfortable balancing business as usual with wider projects, whilst remaining close enough to the team to coach, support and remove obstacles as they arise.
Key responsibilities
- Leading, motivating and supporting a team of HR professionals.
- Acting as the escalation point for complex employee relations matters and people issues.
- Bringing structure, organisation and clear prioritisation across the team's workload.
- Supporting ongoing organisational change activity, consultations and workforce planning.
- Ensuring projects and operational priorities continue to progress alongside BAU.
- Building strong relationships with managers across the organisation, providing practical HR guidance and support.
- Identifying opportunities to improve processes, planning and ways of working.
We're looking for someone who has:
- Strong HR generalist experience with demonstrable team leadership experience.
- Experience operating within a busy, complex organisation where priorities frequently change.
- A calm, organised and pragmatic approach with the confidence to make decisions and provide direction.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills and the ability to quickly build credibility at all levels.
- Experience supporting organisational change, workforce planning or transformation activity.
- Strong project management and organisational skills with the ability to balance strategic priorities alongside day-to-day delivery.
What's most important here is someone who can quickly establish themselves as a trusted leader, bring confidence to the team and make an immediate impact.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a collaborative environment, leading people through change and leaving a function in a stronger position than when they arrived.
