Syme Drummond is delighted to be exclusively partnering with a global leader in advanced materials and photonics, as they establish their new HR Shared Services hub in Glasgow.
There are four roles available at this level within the HR Operations team, offering variety, pace and the opportunity to play a key role in shaping a growing global function. You will support regions across EMEA and North America, handling a broad range of HR cases from routine to complex, and acting as a knowledgeable point of escalation within the team.
What you’ll get involved in
- Managing a mix of routine and complex HR cases, including cross-border and policy-related queries
- Handling escalations and VIP requests with discretion and professionalism
- Delivering accurate HR transactions, including reorganisations, transfers and sensitive separations
- Partnering with HRIS, Payroll, Benefits and Centres of Excellence to ensure seamless service delivery
- Identifying and driving process improvements across systems and workflows
- Sharing knowledge and providing guidance to HR Operations Specialist 1 colleagues
- Ensuring data accuracy and compliance across multiple regions

Experience requirements
Our customer is keen to speak to applicants with extensive HR shared services and HR operations experience, ideally gained within a global support environment. A background supporting international regions is required, along with confidence engaging colleagues from a range of cultural backgrounds.
Fluency in German, Swedish, or Finnish would be strongly welcomed across the wider team to support multilingual service delivery.
