This wonderful charity provide a secure and intensive service for vulnerable young people based in Bishopton, Renfrewshire. Situated on a 38 hectare campus, within a beautiful countryside setting with stunning views over the Clyde estuary, this really is a role that will offer you a fantastic working environment.

Reporting directly to the Executive Director with one direct report, the HR Manager is a key member of the Senior Management team. The HR Manager role offers a unique opportunity to drive change and have a substantial impact on the organisation, with the support and trust of a visionary leader. You will have the autonomy to lead and shape the HR function across the full generalist remit, whilst also gaining exposure to the broader commercial aspects of the business.

This role requires someone with experience of working in a HR generalist role at Business Partner, Manager or Supervisory level. In addition to the business as usual activities, you will foster a positive ER culture within the business and will be able to deal with ER casework at a complex level.

This role will have the opportunity to lead several transformational HR projects to include:

Streamlining and modernising the recruitment process:

  • Reviewing and updating the content and approach of the assessment centres
  • Ensuring a consistent understanding and scoring system for interview panels
  • Exploring ways to "shake things up" and make the recruitment process more effective

Reviving the staff council initiative by getting this initiative back on track and driving it forward

Implementing digital HR systems and processes to modernise their HR practices and to ensure the HR function is progressive and meeting the needs of the business.

You must be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and your ability to foster positive working relationships to achieve the business goals and will be able to showcase your experience of managing a diverse stakeholder group.
