HR Business Partner – Permanent

Central Scotland (Hybrid)
Salary £36,925

Are you an experienced HR professional who wants your work to mean something?

We’re excited to be supporting a genuinely values-led organisation operating across Scotland to appoint an experienced HR Business Partner.

This is an opportunity to step into a role where people are at the heart of everything - where culture, care and community truly matter. You won’t just be aligning strategy to business objectives; you’ll be supporting services that make a real difference.

The Opportunity

As HR Business Partner, you’ll work closely with senior leaders and operational managers across services, acting as a trusted advisor and strategic partner.

This is a visible, relationship-led role where credibility, empathy and sector understanding are key.

You’ll translate organisational goals into meaningful people initiatives, ensuring HR practice supports both compliance and compassion.

What You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Strategic Partnership
Working closely with leaders to understand operational challenges, workforce pressures and service needs — aligning People Strategy initiatives to deliver meaningful outcomes.
  • Employee Relations with Sensitivity
Providing expert, balanced guidance on complex ER matters including investigations, absence, disciplinaries and grievances — supporting managers through sensitive and sometimes challenging situations.
  • Talent & Workforce Sustainability
Supporting succession planning, retention and performance management in a sector where workforce stability and engagement are crucial.
  • Change & Organisational Development
Partnering with leaders through change, ensuring communication is clear, supportive and aligned with organisational values.
  • Insight & Continuous Improvement
Using HR data to inform decisions and proactively identify trends across services.
  • Coaching & Confidence Building
Building capability within line managers, empowering them to lead in line with organisational values and best practice.
  • You may also support and guide HR Officers and contribute to broader departmental development initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

This role requires more than technical HR knowledge. It requires emotional intelligence, resilience and a genuine alignment with a values-driven environment.

You’ll bring:

  • CIPD qualification (Postgraduate Diploma or equivalent) with active membership
  • Significant HR experience, including strong business partnering exposure
  • Experience within a values-led sector (such as care, health & social care, third sector, charity or similarly regulated environments)
  • Confidence handling complex, sensitive ER cases
  • Strong stakeholder management skills across multi-site services
  • The ability to balance commercial awareness with compassion
  • A collaborative, solutions-focused mindset
  • Sector experience is highly desirable - understanding the regulatory landscape, workforce challenges and cultural nuances within services across Scotland will be key to success.

Why This Role?

This is an opportunity to join an organisation where HR is not just operational - it is influential.

Where culture matters.
Where leadership matters.
Where the work truly impacts communities.

If you are motivated by purpose as much as performance, and you’re looking for a role where your expertise can genuinely shape outcomes - we would love to speak with you!
