Syme Drummond is delighted to have been retained by Clyde Valley Housing Association to source a Senior OD and People Partner. CVHA is a Registered Social Landlord (RSL) partner in Lanarkshire and East Dunbartonshire and own around 4200 homes. They provide factored services to more than 3000 owners. CVHA make a notable difference to lives and communities, including to help meet housing needs. By 2025, they will be providing a brilliant customer experience to at least 8500 customers. This role will be based in Motherwell within a hybrid working model. 

The purpose of this post is to provide an exceptional forward looking, innovative and responsive OD and People business partnering service to the Clyde Valley Group which is aligned to their Corporate Strategies, values and behaviours and positively transforms the recruitment and development of their people as well as supporting change and identifying areas and solutions for continuous improvement.

Reporting to a truly inspiring and passionate Head of People, this role will work as part of a highly valued and visible People Team in partnership with the Executive Leadership Team to lead and drive organisational development initiatives.

The Senior OD and People Partner is a new post and will play a key role in the delivery of their 5 year People Strategy which launched in 2020. They are ambitious but aware of the challenges and opportunities they face as they continue to operate and grow within a fast changing sector, job market, workplace and during a pandemic. The People Strategy is forward looking, innovative and people centred and provides a comprehensive response to this changing environment whilst providing them with a sustainable and flexible plan of action to support the achievement of their organisational goals and ambitions.  

Your CV must demonstrate the following to be considered:

  • Degree within HR or related field
  • Chartered CIPD membership or equivalent level of experience
  • Currently operating as an OD or HR/People Partner with key strengths in OD.
  • Experience of strategy development and implementation.
  • Experience of leading organisational change and building staff engagement.
  • Experience of designing and delivering training at differing levels.
  • Experience of policy development and formulation.
  • Previous experience in a HR Business Partner role with senior management.
  • Experience of managing and delivering strategic projects.
  • Workforce Planning
  • Succession Planning
  • Performance Management Systems
  • Training Needs Analysis
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Proven record of effective team working.
