People Business Partner - West Coast

Up to £47000 dep on experience - HR Generalist

Syme Drummond is partnering with this large, brand name organisation as they seek to appoint a permanent People Business Partner. Working as part of a large People team, this role will be responsible for delivering leading HR people planning and people management activities, which enable Senior Leaders and Directors to deliver business objectives in keeping with business values and expectations.  The HR Business Partner will provide strategic HR support to their key stakeholders and business leaders.

Your CV must demonstrate the following:

  • Graduate of CIPD or equivalent, with extensive post qualification in large complex organisations
  • Solid experience in a progressive People Department in similar level role, including providing influence and advice to senior line managers/staff on a wide range of people issues up to a complex level
  • Experience of developing and implementing flexible resource delivery models and recruitment and selection services in a complex environment
  • Strategic and wide ranging experience of working collaboratively with business managers on organisational design and development activities
  • Demonstrate high levels of autonomy and ability to lead and influence in a matrix organisation
  • Experience of facilitating disciplinary, performance, attendance and grievance hearings; coaching line managers and managing complex cases
  • Excellent analytical skills, able to identify broader trends and determine appropriate action plans and coordinating resources to meet desired outcomes
  • Proven ability to mentor, coach and develop business managers and HR colleagues
  • Experienced in delivering feedback and able to coach managers and leaders on holding difficult discussions (e.g. relating to change management)
  • Excellent communication, meeting facilitation and presentation skills
  • Strong relationship management skills, able to positively influence all levels of staff up to Director and senior management level and work effectively in partnership with trade union representatives
  • Well organised, able to lead, manage and deliver on multiple tasks and deadlines utilising a range of direct and indirect resources
  • IT literate, ideally with experience in Oracle HR and MS Office
