Organisational Development Business Partner
Glasgow, Hybrid
Permanent
Salary Up to £70000

Syme Drummond is delighted to be retained by Wheatley Group to source an Organisational Development Business Partner who’s ready to make a real difference. This role is about connecting with people, understanding what drives them, and helping them do their best work for the communities they serve. No corporate jargon, no tick-box exercises—just practical, meaningful change.
If you're passionate about shaping culture, driving change, and making a tangible impact on people's lives, Wheatley is the place for you.
In this role, you’ll create a people development strategy that’s all about real impact, not just ticking boxes. You’ll help leaders connect with their teams and build a work environment where everyone is motivated to bring their best selves to work every day. You’ll take charge of securing Investors in People (IIP) accreditation, using your expertise with the framework and driving improvements through European Foundation for Quality Management (EFQM) to bring real change.
As you lead cultural change and support leadership growth, you'll also need to influence, challenge, and push back when needed, working across all levels of the business—from peers to senior management and external bodies—to ensure decisions are aligned with the organisation's values and objectives. Turning ideas into actions will make a tangible difference for staff, customers, and the wider community.

What we’re looking for:
  • People-centric: You understand that OD is about people first, process second. You get that strategy is important, but action is what matters.
  • Influencer and challenger: You know how to work across all levels—engaging everyone from senior leadership to frontline staff—and you’re not afraid to challenge the status quo when needed.
  • Experience with IIP and EFQM: You’ve led organisations through IIP and EFQM accreditation processes - this is essential.
  • Hands-on and adaptable: Priorities change daily, and we need someone who can pivot, adapt, and just get things done.
  • Heart and soul: You care about the work Wheatley does. You’re genuinely passionate about helping vulnerable people and communities thrive. You’ll need to bring this passion every day to engage and inspire others.

If you're ready to bring your experience, passion, and drive for real change to an organisation that values people above all, Wheatley Group is the place for you.
