Newly created HR Manager role in securely funded start-up, hybrid working between home and Glasgow city centre.

This well-funded Glasgow based company in start-up mode recently appointed an HRD who is turn is forming her team to develop all the HR infrastructure ready for serious, scalable growth.

Focusing on leading, facilitating and creating HR processes and systems throughout the complete employee lifecycle, this role will provide invaluable support to the recently appointed HRD. Working closely with the HRD, the Finance and IT teams to deliver the strategy of the incoming CEO, working closely with the HRD, together you will shape the future organisation aligned with the business strategy.

The role will suit an experienced HR generalist with a broad, substantial HR operational remit, who has thrived in a fast-paced SME or start up environment. You will roll up your sleeves and hit the ground running to work with both the HRD and Senior Management Team to build both the team, the culture and benefits packages.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Devise and implement HR systems, policies and packages to support full in-house HR lifecycle. These are likely to evolve continuously in this start-up phase, you will ensure they remain competitive, compliant and accessible to all
  • Ensure all employees have a smooth employee journey from onboarding and the entire employee Lifecycle
  • Deliver the processes that punctuate the HR annual cycle seamlessly and meaningfully as well as manage all ad hoc hires, interview and accreditation processes
  • Responsibility for emerging developing training and development programmes as well as performance management and career development as required
  • Update people policies and respond in innovative, creative ways to requests for guidance, tools and advice
  • Interpret and advise on people policies and processes including ER issues, recruitment & selection processes and all other aspects of the employee life cycle
  • Recognise best practice approaches and demonstrate good understanding of key employment legislation. As a trusted advisor and sounding board for your co-workers as the business grows, you will respond to requests for HR guidance, tools and advice in innovative, creative ways.
