Syme Drummond is delighted to be partnering this Glasgow based professional firm as they seek to appoint a commercial HR Consultant to join their HR Consultancy team. This organisation enjoys high retention clients and as they continue to grow they are looking to appoint a commercially minded, solutions driven HR Consultant who can work with their clients offering a full HR consultancy service.

This role will suit someone who is currently working as a Senior HR Advisor or HR Consultant within a SME or growing business who enjoy a full generalist HR role. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • HR and Employment Law advice to clients , including the necessary and applicable administration to accompany this (e.g. disciplinary, grievance, family friendly rights, holidays, redundancy, dismissals, TUPE etc.). Advice would be provided by email, call, video call or on-site in person.
  • Managing a portfolio of clients across a wide range of sectors, building strong relationships with them and really understanding their business.
  • HR project work for clients (e.g. implementing HR processes and procedures, supporting a company through a TUPE, providing on-site HR support)
  • Preparing HR documentation templates (e.g. contracts of employment, employee handbook, offer letters, line manager handbooks etc.)
  • Line Manager training in HR processes delivered on site or via video call
  • Developing and reviewing templates for client use
  • Supporting more junior members of the team with any training and development requirements and through more complex cases
