HR Administrator - West Coast

Up to £25000 dep on experience - HR Generalist

Syme Drummond is working exclusively with this wholesale organisation based on the outskirts of Glasgow as they seek to appoint an experienced HR Administrator to support the HR Manager. This role will provide a full HR Administration support service to the business and you will enjoy dealing with a busy and varied HR workload. You will be responsible for:

  • Updating the HR system and as a systems expert you will act as the first point of contact for line managers and employees.  
  • You will carry out all recruitment administration e.g  organise recruitment timetables/ interviews, draft and place adverts, liaise with recruitment agencies/ suppliers, collate applications, administer tests.  
  • You will ensure all necessary employment checks are undertaken including Disclosure checks, right to work, qualifications and medical checks and references. 
  • Administer the process for new employees and workers, for example, prepare contracts, offer letters and process pre-employment checks.
  • Liaise with new employees or workers and Line Manager’s to ensure the induction and probation process is effectively delivered and concluded.
  • Schedule and co ordinate the delivery of the annual training plan and support the HR Manager with Performance Appraisal plans
  • Provide first level employee life cycle support including pay reviews and contractual changes
  • Provide cover for Payroll when needed
